Lisa was on vacation caving, inside, she stepped back, and falling below. Finding skeleton of a man left there twenty years ago. Finding more, was a relief, she wrapped to take up with her. There were said to be three of them known as the furies question is where are the others. In Italy she meets Rafe, who took more than her heart the next morning. The plot is full of adventure, globe trotting to find the pieces. Good flowing plot to the end.
I was surprised to see several negative comments on this book. I thought it was most entertaining and hard to put down. There were all kinds of activities going on in this book and I frequently found myself asking "where is this going?" My opinion of a book is based on how anxious I am to get back into it after I had to stop to do something else. I really looked forward to getting back into this one and the very interesting characters. I loved the heroine because she was so clever and knew how to get even. The hero was fun too although he started out as a bad boy. I think the author did a good job of making us like him and rooting for both of them in the end.
Stolen Fury by Elisabeth Naughton is a book that one can sit back and relax with and be entertained. The book was a good mixture of romance, sex, action, adventure and suspense/thriller. I enjoyed how the action (both in and out of the bedroom) steadily escalated as you progressed through the book. It started out as this treasure hunt and then turned into a mystery with some conspiracy thrown in. I appreciated how Naughton developed the story where things were in constant motion, never leaving much down time to drag the pace.

The book wouldn’t have worked as well as it did if it didn’t have its two charismatic and strong-willed leading man and lady. The chemistry between Lisa and Rafe was great. From the moment they met, you can see the tension between them was palpable, setting the foundation of their relationship for the rest of the book. I also enjoyed Naughton writing a female who is as strong and determined as her counterpart. Of course, the path to true love is never smooth and the prerequisite antagonism between the two is present at the beginning but which eventually turn into something more. And it wouldn’t be a romantic suspense book without some sexual tension and the first half of this book is abundant with it. While I appreciate the buildup, it did get to the point where I was questioning if these two attractive people will ever hook up and if it all were just one big tease (spoiler alert they aren’t a tease...eventually…). But in the end, what matters is that you find their attraction and inevitable feelings for each other credible which goes a long way to a good romance.

There’s nothing anything that makes Stolen Fury unique or extraordinary. However, it does manage to tell a great story that you can preoccupy yourself with and relax. It doesn’t ask you for anything more than your attention and Naughton’s writing and characters makes it easy for you to give it.
I found this to be well written as are all of the books by this author that I have previously read. Does Lisa do some stupid things? Sure but you have to set up the plot line somehow. What Lisa doesn't do is continually put herself in dangerous situations on her own, making her TSTL so I appreciate that. I didn't really get why the stone was in the room safe either, until you figure out she was headed to Athens to have it verified after the lecture she had been giving. What I couldn't figure out is how she got it through customs. The rest of the book was a series of near misses and it of course has a happy ending. If you like this author and want a fun fast read then give it a try. She obviously sets up the other characters for their books here and it does make you want to know how things are going for them.
